hmm. on the one hand, I know kopete doesn't have enough developers to
add new stuff like this - there are loads of more important bugs to be
fixed.
on the other hand, I know that as soon as one of my bf's friends tries
to use his computer, they're going to complain about stuff like this.
for now I'd just tell them to another client for guests, really.
kopete's not designed for people sharing an account. it'd also be nice
if it was easier to switch users in kde...
I think that some sort of guest-account feature would be a very good
thing to have in the future (although kopete still seems to have
issues with temporary contacts). having separate contactlists for
every account sounds infeasible because of metacontacts n'stuff...
maybe some weird thing with more than one global ID would be
possible... but... really, it seems like you might as well close one
kopete and open another one then. perhaps someone could post an easy
script for this somewhere.
