Hi all, I am trying to get my Logitech Quickcam Fusion to work with Kopete. It's a 1.3Mpixel webcam that is supported by the uvcvideo driver, which supports V4L version 2. The driver module is loaded and it makes the /dev/video0 device. In Egika it gives me a very nice and clear webcam picture so the camera and drivers are working properly.
However in Kopete I only get a green image, so I'm guessing that my version does not support V4L2 yet. Originally I was using Kopete 0.11.x that came with my Fedora Core 5 distribution, but yesterday I downloaded and compiled the 0.12.2 version which also doesn't work. However when Googling for V4L2 and Kopete I did find some references that lead me to think that V4L2 support is in the making for Kopete. Can anyone tell me if this is true indeed and if so when I may expect it to work? Is it supported in current CVS repos? Let me finish by saying that I think Kopete is a very nice product and definately beats aMSN and Gaim in terms of UI! Maybe also on other fronts, but I only discovered Kopete yesterday :p Thanks! -- Philox, Ltd Jonathan Salomon _______________________________________________ kopete-devel mailing list [email protected] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kopete-devel
