Which is a pity, I was hoping that at one time in the future I would
be able to do with Kopete what I did with Miranda before (when I was
still using Windows): get rid of EVERY PIECE of interface except the
contact list itself. This included all the buttons, the menu and even
the title bar and window borders (the latter two are easy of course
with X).

That in combination with a transparant and auto-growing window to fit
exactly the number of online contacts meant the Miranda would take up
as little screen space as possible which to me is as it should be. An
IM program is something that is open 24/7 on my desktop but is only
used actively a fraction of that time. The rest of the time it should
attract as little attention as possible. (The tray icon is not enough
becuase that way I can't see who is online)

Theming would probably allow for all of the above, so I would tend to
be in favour of it. Of course I'm no Kopete developer so I know how
little my ideas are worth ;-)

Cheers,
 -Tako
