I do have experience with C++, but I've never done anything with QT (altough to me it looks a bit like wxWidgets which I'm familiar with) or in KDE in generell. So I do need help getting kopete set up for dev work :-) Current state of knowledge: I have started to read the QT and OTR documentation and I have downloaded and compile the stable source of kopete. I have KDevelop and all the necessary build tools installed. Where should I start? > Are you targeting kde 3 or 4? Haven't thought about that so far ;-) I know that the QT version KDE 4 uses is different, but are there differences in the parts I will be using? When there are differences, I will target KDE 4, I guess. What do you think? Do I have to install KDE4 SVN head if I want to develop for KDE4?
