I still have this bug with Kopete 0.12.5, using KDE 3.5.7 on Debian Sid. I only
use Jabber (GTalk). Daniels method to apply by custom global identity by
clicking temporarily marking "Use nickname from contact for global nickname"
works for me. The error is also corrected by editing the "Custom" nickname
field, and then clicking "OK", even though I e.g. only remove a letter in the
name temporarily, so that the name doesn't change.
