I don't think that there are *that* many network printers on the
Internet, and I think the number of such is not increasing -- most
people seem to be buying USB printers, it seems.
. . .
I was in a Fry's a couple of months ago and was looking at the fancy HP
network color laser printers. Salesguy approaches...
Salesguy (SG): "Have any questions?"
Me (Me): "Actually, yes. I don't see any mention of Postscript. Does
this printer handle Postscript, or can it be made to do so?"
SG: "Uh. Let me get my manager."
...
Sales Manager (SM): "Hello! I understand you have a question."
Me: "Yes. Can this printer have Postscript capablity?"
SM: "Uh. Let me call over the sales rep."
<waves hand>
HP Sales Rep (SR): "Hello! Can I help anyone with anything?"
SM: "This gentleman here has a question."
SR: "Okay."
Me: "Does this printer have, or can it have, Postscript capablity?"
SR: "What's Postscript?"
Me: "You don't know what Postscript is?"
SM: "No idea."
SG: "Never heard of it."
SR: "No."
