I typically run my Athlon XP PC 24/7. I would like to replace it with an RS/6000 running 24/7. It'll be a general purpose file- and web-server. What kind of power difference can I expect? I'm not asking for numbers. I just want to know: will my next power bill give me a heart attack? Will SDPD come sniffing, looking for hydroponics set ups? Or will electricity usage be roughly the same?
