My favorite vi features:

1. efficient cursor movement/editing keys
2. Macros
3. putting the cursor over a number and hitting ctrl-a
4. :set number
5. http://www.rayninfo.co.uk/vimtips.html

1)The exit button, so I can pull up a decent editor.
2)The Unix function that allows me to rm the executable

I never understood how people can like vi. h,j,k,l for movement is just annoying, my keyboard has arrow keys for a reason. THe command mode is annoying, I want to be able to go back and forth to edit and delete without hitting escape umpteen bazillion times. And having to memorize a large list of commands and keystrokes to get anything done is annoying, an editor shouldn't require memorization. For guis, xemacs all the way. For text only give me emacs or even pico over vi.

Yes, I'm posting a pointless flamewar. I have a bug I really don't want to work on, sorry.
