I have one, running m0n0wall and protecting my network. I have also
set up several for clients that continue to run 24/7 without fail.
They provide VPN and firewall capabilities. One customer has 4
creating a VPN across two states. It allows them to work on their core
business application (which runs on Linux) from any of 4 different
locations as if they were all in the same building.
