In my opinion, you can't possibly own anything which you can't take with you to the afterlife. In other words, you don't truly *own* anything in this life, and it's pure hubris to believe otherwise. Alas, few others follow my philosophy, thus I'm compelled to live the lie lest I find myself hanging from a tree somewhere by my "own" rope.
