I'm surprised that Intuit actually even ships retail box TurboTax and Quicken applications anymore.
As far as TurboTax goes, they still don't support multi-state returns on the web, and they do in the box. Living in a border town(MO-KS not US-MX) most people here have to file in both states. I use TurboTax on the web, and then KS has a decent online form of their own, and as a KS resident I must have the info from all non-resident returns to enter in it anyway.
Quicken, I would garner that the price paid by those who buy all upgrades justifies keeping it around in the box.
