Quoting Stewart Stremler <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>:

The closest thing I have to a hometown is Oak Harbor, Washington. WalMart
moved in there a few years ago. Already, one grocery store has shut
down (pity, as that was my favorite grocery store -- I felt like a
customer there, instead of a consumer). I think the only grocery stores
left in town are the chains... we'll see how the town changes in the
next few years, I guess.

Hmm... from what I've seen of the Wal-Marts I've been in (and it's been awhile
now since I've gone into one, I'll admit) they don't seel groceries. Sure
they sell dry things like crackers, chips, and jars like pickles and I think
even had a small Ice Cream area.. but they're not a replacement for a grocery
store. No meat dept, no produce, etc..

But like I say.. maybe they've added that, and not in every store.
