Not the koolers. But I think the kooler does work because it has been
the posting place of thousands of messages now that would have otherwise
ended up on the main list.
Actually, it works pretty well, IMNSHO.
You get the occasional topic drift like this one on the main list.
However, if it gets too out of hand, it gets moved to kooler.
Just because *every* post that should be in kooler doesn't make it there
doesn't mean it failed. Typical computer-type binary thinking ;).
Social groups run by everyone giving other people some slack. People
seem to have forgotten this overall today.
In fact, I generally cut people a *lot* more slack when they post in
-list. If the thread had been on kooler, I would have flamed the
original post that compared Social Security to a 401K rather than giving
the poster the benefit of the doubt. ;)
