Funny- the number one complaint I hear from anyone who uses computers is how slow the apps are. Specifically loading and processor intensive parts (not so much the sit around waiting for a keyboard press parts). You must

Hm. My biggest complaint is lack of UI responsiveness. When I'm loading
an application, I do not want the rest of the system to momentarily
pause; when I save something from an application, I do not want the app to
be non-responsive while it's writing to disk; when I format a disk, I do
not want the mouse pointer to move in fits and starts...

Agreed. When I click on a button or gadget or whatnot, there should *always* be /some/ indication that the click was noticed by the system. And animation should not be glitchy, especially when *I* don't have anything else running. (I guess I really got spoiled on the Amiga. Back when the 286 was *just* being released, the Amiga had video that had virtually no pauses. Now the 586+ generations *still* have frequent pauses and jumpiness in animation. Nevertheless, I do *not* miss the guru.)
