If you're confused it's because I was confused (and confusing as a
consequence).

I am comparing apples (a desktop with a new wireless card) with oranges
(a laptop with a working PCMIA card).

Sometimes I don't know poop.

I'm trying to get ndiswrapper working for the new card.
