People here often talk smack about USB interface not being asymmetric so that people often attempt to plug in a USB device upside down.
I think I just thought of high praise for USB designers I didn't think about before.... USB interface is androgynous!! It is gender neutral! It is male and female at the same time!!! No more making sure you get the right gender for your extension cords. All interfaces are the same!!! Perhaps this is a good thing that makes up for the lack of asymmetry?
