Doesn't surprise me. I know that most boxes we buy anymore, once you get over 8 gig (and especially 16gig) of RAM, the vast majority of the price is just the RAM. That demand for DRAM, along with the explosive growth that flash ram cards are seeing (and will see with ipods, more phones with streaming video/music) will make them a ton of cash. The cpu power required to do most of that stuff is minimal compared to, say, a maxed gaming box or a compute host.
