A VPN is painless if routers on both ends can act as a VPN endpoints.
That's what I use. I haven't played with software VPN's yet. I do know
that one requirement for at least a router-based endpoint VPN is that
both ends of the connection have static IP addresses.
Also, I setup fc3 on her pc, but I haven't gotten around to that yet on
mine. I still have rh9. I have a few stages to go through before I can
do the upgrade on mine.
You've gotta get away from RH9. For one thing, as far as I know, it's no
longer supported in terms of errata updates from Redhat. In fact,
neither are FC1 or FC2.
