How handy are you with a soldering iron?
The good news is that those power connectors tend to be standardized
items that you can probably get for a few bucks from an electronic parts
supplier. They also tend to be big things so soldering them can be done
with a normal electronics soldering iron.
The bad news is that you are going to have to disassemble the entire
laptop. Also, taking it to a repair place is likely to set you back
about $200. None of them that I know of do actual solder work, they'll
just try to find a replacement motherboard.
