True. The website has the following additonal information:
Level 1 Certification requires a candidate to pass two exams
which inlcludes LPI-101 and LPI-102. After some digging I 
found that the exams cost $100 each and are administered
by a couple of companies that apparently devote themselves
to giving such tests. There is a faq here

I am curious. Does anyone in the KPLUG community have such 
LPI certification? I know some people have obtained RedHat
certs.
