I'm certain that there are at least a dozen just in the #kernel-panic irc channel. Linux is now very easy to get installed, which is taking away from LUGs' Installfest attendence levels. Even here in NYC, nylug hasn't had an installfest for over a year. They have great attendance for meetings, as they draw some of the top speakers in the country, but beyond that there's nothing. Perhaps this is a new niche that LUGs can take for themselves; Linux Certifications. They have the potential to generate revenue for the LUGs and to draw even more people into them by offering inexpensive linux training. This may not even be a new idea...some LUG somehere must be trying this. -Mike -- [email protected] http://www.kernel-panic.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/kplug-list
