It appears Fon is ready to hit the streets. They're selling WRT54GL routers for $33 (W/S+H) to the first 3000 comers. You have to agree to use it on their network, and they say they've regged it so you can't do anything else with it.

I bought one.  Figure it'll be fun to play with no matter what.

I like the idea but I wonder about the conflict with ISP-to-end-user
agreements, all of which I've seen say you can't sell or give away access to anyone outside your home.

Are the ISPs laying low about this? Don't want to be the bad guy? Don't know about it yet? Biding their time to see what happens?

Any thoughts?
