Oh yes. I use it at M5 hosting, I use it at a consulting customer rather extensively. I currently admin systems that I set up that include a distributed Nagios setup with 8 distributed nagios servers. Most of the nagios system I have used monitor from 100 to 300 objects. Absolutely no sweat at all.

I use the snmp plugins as well as a few others and the standard ones, the NSCA daemon and a few custom scripts as service checks and so on.

I like it. It's a lengthy setup to get the first object monitored, but it's power is in it's fexibility., not it's easy of setup. Someone who needs rapid setup needs What's Up Gold or something like that.
