I'm frustrated. FC4 broke wireless for me on every box that used it. I

I freely admit I'm both stupid and inexperienced. But I have been
reading the stuff and trying what I understood to be the right stuff.
I have no assurance that FC5 will fix things. I'm tempted to try another
distro ... maybe SUSe.
Who has what wireless working with SUSe? Especially Atheros chips ...
I have been as loyal to Red Hat as I have to my wife, but goddamit, even
when she messes with me, she doesn't cut off communication.
I just upgraded my laptop and desktop to Fedora Core 5. In the process,
I found <http://rpm.livna.org>, which produces extra kernel modules and
packages for the Fedora line. I noticed that they had both kernel
modules and tool packages for madwifi and ndiswrapper.
You might give them a try. The install on my laptop went well, but I
have a Centrino chipset.
If you are coming to the Thursday meeting I would be glad to test your
wireless card in my laptop for you.
