On a Mac, you can save anything as a PDF through the standard print
dialog. Windows is harder, but windows does come with several
postscript printer drivers, which you can have print to a file. This
gets you half way there.
Use PDFCreator. Works great, and is GPL. It still doesn't solve the
problem that the job requires MS Word formats, not PDF for applying.
Stupid choice by the company, but most of the Linux WPs will export to word.
