They do with older ears :-) Not perfectly, but once they're mounted, who cares if the result won't stand aesthetic scrutiny under a magnifying glass. So now I have a 2950 just sitting in another cabinet, cruelly stripped of its' ears. And I found another set of the same ears in a box. And I found a place on eBay that sells these ears for ~$17 a set shipped.
