number of years now and they always bottom post. Bugtraq, nanog,
linux-kernel, you name it. You can look at the archives of these lists
right now and see the bottom posting. What has happened in the above
case is that two newbies who were not aware of net convention saw each
other top posting and agreed with each other. Big surprise. You can
usually tell how long a person has been on the net (and therefore their
experience level) by whether they top post or bottom post. Among other
things top posting just looks unprofessional.
