Bob,

I snipped down to this and CC'd my wife because I made the same decision
and want to get it on the record that this was the result of logical
decision making, not a predilection to child abuse.

If it helps- I'm on phase 2 out of 3 of moving my parents to Linux. I've gotten them to accept Open Office and Mozilla (the first due to cash, the second due to telling them use it or find some other free support). This christmas I plan to use a cd distro to show it to them and pimp some of the features (such as X allowing me to debug their box from across the country). Once they get used to that, I'll move them to the real thing next time they get a computer.
