If I remember correctly, they are inkjets. I'd rather receive the fax as a file and choose what to print. Also, I'd rather not receive the fax as a printout and have to scan it in to do work on it.

Perhaps I need to find out how to send and receive faxes using my current fax/modem card and just get an all-in-one that has no fax.

But the printer companies *dont* want you to do that- they make money off paper and ink. I'm not sure if that feature is supported even on Windows. I don't remember ever hearing about a bug on PC based fax recieve when I worked in that division (although admittedly I wasn't on the fax team).
