What is programming? Setting a VCR? An answering machine? A coffee pot?
A mechanical light timer?
You get my drift.
A big part of the creation of programming languages has always been to
increase the accessibility of controlling machines. Most of us on this
list can name three or four languages (some of which may still be
around) that were ballyhooed as "the last language you'll ever have to
learn" or the "language that will make everyone a programmer."
Also, I don't really like developers any more than the next man, but
calling them subhuman is just plain unfair to all the good and honest
subhumans out there.

Keep away from people who belittle your ambitions. Small people
always do that, but the really great, make you feel that you too
can become great.
