I'm quite tickled that, as I type this, I have Debian Etch installing onto the newest member of my household network, a Linksys NSLU2.
Do you expect it to work with all the hardware on the NSLU2? Is that one of the appeals of it?
Linux can be so useful. :)
Agreed. But I recently found a very powerful desktop computer running Windows XP. Feeling sorry for the thing, I booted it into an Ubuntu live CD. The live CD runs like an installer at first, asking for my keyboard layout and language. And then, when we get to the part where it should turn into a Linux desktop it fails. I get a blinking cursor in the upper left with an otherwise blank screen. The computer is running dual Nvidia GeForce 7800 GTXs, which is a PCI Express card. I'm wondering if that's what's causing the trouble. Ubuntu is the only thing I have on hand that will run on Athlon 64.
