The update during install did not update everything. So I am now running YaST, clicking on "Online Update" which I guess is also called YOU. Get the same "/ is nearly full" message. So I am trying to do the updating in smaller steps. This time I did not check "Remove Source Packages after Update" thinking I could find where they went. I can not.
I realize that you know far more than I about Linux. But what I have done is "du -a > du-a" as root from "/" before, and "du -a > du-a.2" after. Then a simple diff flushes it out. I wasn't able to find the yum files until I did this.
