The sad fact is you pay even when you don't because

And you sometimes pay even when you don't want to! "Windows Tax" on new
machines, anyone? I know *I* don't like paying extra for a new machine
only to blow away the preinstalled partitions and throw the "setup CDs"
right into the trash (where windows belongs).
Somoetimes I hate this industry.
