If you watch ebay, you can get one of these boxes for $40. The current
incarnation only has 2MB flash and 8 or 16MB ram.
Any easy way to tell which model is which, from external appearance?
The first 4 characters of the serial number tell all, but most eBay
posts don't go into that amount of detail.
