I am sure that none of the stories you have read involved data being recovered after having been overwritten even once. Unless you are dealing in secret plans for the government or something a simple overwriting is sufficient. Just deleting of course is not sufficient. A simple overwriting for tapes is surely sufficient for your needs as well. - -- Tracy R Reed http://ultraviolet.org -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.5 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Fedora - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFFIy8J9PIYKZYVAq0RAnXvAJ9uUTrjZzWG6O/JK70fBoJYjrf1XQCfdjTp Ks8brumtdBrMyZIjwKGLNWE= =oDya -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- [email protected] http://www.kernel-panic.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/kplug-list
