All right, I can hardly claim to be a spreadsheet expert, but I know
this about Gnumeric and also OOCalc:

In top bar, Format -> Cells -> Text

sets interpretation of selected cells.  Like you could select a whole
column and then do this.
There are also more different numeric interpretations than anyone
could possibly explain.


By the way, Lan, your clock is fast.  Your message to which I am
replying is time-stamped 3:14pm, and the current time is 3:12pm.  You
