Scream "socialism" is you want (doesn't bother me in the least); I'll just smile and say "Enron." Of course, the regulators always get coopted by the regulated. To really break monopolies you have to have alternatives that provide real competition, as when the long haul trucks broke the stranglehold of the railroads.
