yumex is your friend. (OK, who was it on this list that told me to install it? I have to thank you again!) Four systems now that I've done installations on since using yumex for the first time and not a single dependency problem or failed update because a dependency fails after hours of downloading. Having a nice GUI for installing *and* removing packages is a definite bonus. My install path is now: 1. Install OS. 2. Boot, configure basic stuff. 3. yum install yumex 4. Run yumex and update everything. 5. If any errors are detected in (4), use output to determine what I can install, then deal with broken stuff separately. PGA -- Paul G.
