I discovered last night at the LPSG meeting that my laptop combo
CD-RW/DVD drive can't read DVD-R DL (dual layer) discs. I'm considering
getting a replacement drive so I could burn DVDs as well as read them.
I've seen some models (Panasonic DVR-K06) that have slot loading vs the
tray loading. Does anyone have experience with the slot loader? Any
recommended brands in general? I see things like Sony, NEC, LG, AOpen,
HP and Dell (although I doubt HP and Dell make their own).
Anyplace locally to buy one that you would recommend?
