I'm having an issue with MPlayer and streaming content. MPlayer is
running fine for DVD/CD media I load and for streaming places like
YouTube.com however this KPBS site will not play:

I've tried all 3 streaming methods both high and low.
The player indicates there is a connection and it pulls the streaming
URL and even for a very brief moment looks like it is going to launch
but the Firefox embedded player then displays "Stopped".
I checked "rpm -qa|grep mplayer" and got:
mplayer-fonts-1.1-4.lvn6
vdr-mplayer-0.9.15-3.lvn6
mplayer-doc-1.0-0.66.rc1.lvn6
mplayer-gui-1.0-0.66.rc1.lvn6
mplayerplug-in-3.35-1.lvn6

Which appears to be the latest available according to the Livna
repository at:
http://rpm.livna.org/fedora/6/i386/repodata/repoview/sound-and-video.group.html
Has anyone heard of an issue like this that requires some fix?
