I'm using TB, now but a year-or-two ago IO was using evolution, and I remember that it had major problems/annoyances with big mail "folders". The main problem I recall was startup and periodic folder reorganization, (or an operation named something similar). Re per-email problems: - do you have a complex filtering scheme? - could some just-in-time virus scanning be in effect (presumeably different from internal and external clients)?
