Yes. We just had a group of 8 ports on a 24 port Linksys POE switch die. Apparently these things aren't intended for actual use. :) I am stress testing another bank of 8 ports to see if it was just a fluke (probably not) and when that one dies too I am going to order some real switches such as HP Procurve. > Am I'm buying too low on the cheap scale? Probably. I am learning that if it says D-Link, Netgear, or Linksys on it you can't count on it for anything more than hobby applications and you should not be shocked when it dies. - -- Tracy R Reed http://ultraviolet.org -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.5 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Fedora - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFF2mIx9PIYKZYVAq0RAopBAKCG8hkDyvvx9eqR3PHMpR/PtoelfgCgiMZM p8QvYpQxf4NFENVgjEKqapE= =1eK5 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- KPLUG-List@kernel-panic.org http://www.kernel-panic.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/kplug-list
