Mostly the problem I see with these dedicated keys is that they're small
and hard to press.

What are the interfaces to your computer?

The monitor, the keyboard, and the mouse.

These are the components that you should NOT skimp on.

My only gripe about the Happy Hacking keyboard is that it's too
small. Well, that an it's missing dedicated function keys.
