Nobody can even begin to offer useful suggestions (just look at the
replies you have received already) unless you tell us exactly what it is
this compute cluster will be computing. Different problems require very
different solutions. High availability? High performance? Is is
trivially parallelizable? Maybe you don't need anything special at all
other than some shell scripts to launch your [EMAIL PROTECTED] client (for
example) on each node. You won't get much of use until you get specific.
