The reason I would prefer to have something besides canned air, is that I deal very often with older computers and I always want to open them up and blow them out before I do anything. Cans of air seem like they get used up very quickly. I also now have a situation where there was drywalling near some equipment and the dust really got into it. If I really need to do a major cleanup maybe there are better methods than canned air.

Unless these "older computers" are mission critical, I'd just get an air
compressor and risk the problem. As I've mentioned, I've used my old
shop type garage air compressor (without any filters at all), to blow
out computers for years, and so far, never any problem.

I totally agree. I have canned air and compressed CO2. When I need to blow out a PC I use a regular old garage air compressor. If it's a warm day and the compressor has not been pumping for a while there's very little moisture or oil in the first 30 sec of air from the tank.
