It seems we're looking to outsource our IT stuff. I don't know exactly why aside from the fact that we are growing fast and everyone here is extremely busy. Our IT guy wants out of IT and to move into another area (which is why he's out of town this week for training).
So, in a real small nutshell, we're looking for a company that can provide the following skills and support for the following systems/areas, on a 1 year contract: Windows Server administration (W2K3). Active Directory. Exchange administration. IIS administration. Apache administration. Windows XP and 2000 desktops. Solaris and Sun administration. BSD administration. Linux administration (RHEL and Fedora). Samba and NFS. Open LDAP MS SQL administration. MySQL administration. Symantec Backup Exec. Network and computer security (currently, it's bad, but I've seen far worse). Other networking knowledge including DNS, routing, T1 and other broadband technologies, 3Com switches, etc. So, can anyone here recommend a company and give me a ballpark figure of what such a contract would cost? (I know what I would charge - a bundle - but that doesn't help me to know what *good* local companies would charge.) BTW, I know some of you here do this stuff, so speak up if you want another contract and a year's worth of headaches. :) Thanks, PGA -- The information contained in this e-mail message is confidential, intended only for the use of the individual or entity named above.
