So, as an engineer, given that kind of feedback, now I can think along the lines of what API and other functionality would the iQ need to have to support such an application?
Full hardware docs. If you want the thing to be universally used, the best OS might not be what you are currently running or Linux. Maybe some BSD variant would be better, or VxWorks, or whatever that real time system was that RedHat bought a while back.

not so good. (maybe a drawing?) Now we are looking at what consumer shows we can attend. Ideas?
The Del Mar Electronics show is coming up. That could be a good place to present. If you're serious about selling them advertise in "Circuit Cellar" magazine.
Just a last thought before I hit send: A demonstration at a KPLUG meeting? No, it doesn't use Linux (maybe some day? Would Linux fit in it? We have wondered), but PC side Linux support for it might be a plus. My tracking application certainly works on Linux (I designed as such - go figure ;) )
Yes! Do the presentation on the tracking application and mention the module as a "for sale" item. So when should we schedule you?
So, let's make this thread as long as the Cox and DMCA thread (but keep it On Topic :) )
