some level in the hierarchy) makes the decision to go with WebCT over
something else, and that's that.
Yeah, it's called marketing. I'm stuck with Blackboard at SDSU.
I only use it to post my grades. And, unfortunately, I would have to
use *something* secure (read: software maintained by someone else who
will take the blame if it gets hacked) to post my grades.
For collaboration, the class uses the mailing list. For distribution, I
use a web page that I hand hack the HTML. It's actually *easier* than
using Blackboard.
Honestly, if I need a Web Education System, I shouldn't be teaching CS.
Now, if somebody would come up with a cheap and convenient way for me to
videotape my classes, I would be all over that.
