I had trouble getting it to work initially, and I never went back to it. I guess I'll try it again.

It wont exactly fix the problem. but it will autoconnect if you set it up to.

How do I find that option? I think I have Pidgin working now. It seems to be working. Is it enough to have entered the screen name and password (and tell it to remember the password)? Or is there a reconnect option somewhere that I need to find?



Earlier today, while I was sitting at my computer, Pidgin threw up an error dialog telling me that the connection had been reset by peer. I don't know what that means. But what got my attention is that I had to do a few clicks to reconnect. So something must not be set for automatic reconnect.

Can anyone tell me what to look for?
