Yep, you'd think! I've gone trying to do that a couple times, assuming
that "migration" meant what you said -- but it doesn't <sigh>.

The best it can do, it seems, is detect a version change and try to
update or disable old extensions .. it does that pretty good. _Maybe_ it
does something sensible re: checking the mail database, too? <hope> :-\
